This is a poster showing that Jews and
other groups of people need to leave. It also
implies that they are enemies towards

Genocide is possible because of the evil that exists in this world. The Germans were not the first to model that evil but they were the first to exemplify that evil on a mass scale. There were many reasons why the holocaust happened, because they were different, blaming another group of people for their problems, the desire for control and power.
First of all, one of the big reasons why the holocaust began was because people like Adolf Hitler wanted people who were different either, religiously, ethically, or politically, different should be killed because they are not the same as them. Adolf Hitler believed in a master race and convinced hundreds to millions of people thinking that sense people like Jewish people and homosexual people are morally different and do different practices that they are wrong. For example, “The Nazis, as they were called, wanted to get rid of people who they thought were not as good as they were. But Jewish people were not the only ones murdered by the Nazis. Gypsies, homosexuals, mentally and physically disabled people and others who were against Hitler were killed in the Holocaust.”(source http://www.english-online.at/history/holocaust/holocaust-mass-murder-of-jews-in-world-war-2.htm).” This is a good example because it shows that’s in the list it does not say people who are German or Catholic. It only states people who are different or disabled physically and mentally. The people In the Nazi party felt that if they are not the same physically or even religiously they would be killed or executed.
Second of all, Hitler needed a group of people or an ethnicity to blame for the problems of Germany. Hitler wanted to take over a culture that is known to be a minority in the world. Hitler could not accept defeat from the allies in World War 1. So he had to find something else to blame it on to cover up so Germany still had pride. For example, “Hitler blamed the Jews for all the misfortunes that had befallen Germany the loss of the First World War was the result of a Jewish conspiracy”(source http://www.historylearningsite.co.uk/Jews_Nazi_Germany.htm).” This is a good example of Hitler blaming the problems of Germany on another group of people because it shows that since Germany lost World War 1. He didn’t want to accept defeat from allied forces that overpowered their military. He wanted to pull out the “scapegoat” card and say “We lost World War 1 because of the Jews.” That way he does not lose his ego or his national pride as much as saying “We lost World War 2 because of the allied forces.” Another good reason is when Adolf Hitler blamed the Jews on the Treaty of Versailles and the destroyed economy. For example, “the Treaty of Versailles was also a Jewish conspiracy designed to bring Germany to her knees the hyperinflation of 1923 was the result of an international Jewish attempt to destroy Germany.”(source http://www.historylearningsite.co.uk/Jews_Nazi_Germany.htm).” This is another good example of Adolf Hitler blaming a situation nationally on the Jewish community because that is all they can think of. And instead of going after the individuals to seek and blame who really caused the mess. It was easier for Hitler to blame the problems inside Germany on a powerless minority group to substitute who really did it. Another thing to if you notice that the Treaty of Versailles was not created by the Jewish community it was British Prime Minister David Lloyd George, French Premier George Clemenceau and US President Woodrow Wilson. Also it was not because of the Jews that there was hyperinflation in the 1920s it was because they were broke after World War 1 and the Germans needed to pay for all the damage done. It wouldn’t make sense because a lot of Jewish people lived in Germany. And why would anyone all of the sudden create hyperinflation? But again like previously stated it’s easier to blame a huge problem on a minority race/ethnicity then to take responsibility of your own actions.
Third of all, Adolf Hitler wanted to take over other ethnicities, and races for the desire for control and power. Hitler thought that the Germans were the master race and they were superior to all other human life forms on the planet. For example, “The Nazis projected the Aryan ideals, which promoted pride in having German blood. The worth of being German was increased because they were stereotyped as being superior intellectually and physically. They were naturally more gifted than other races in morality as well.” ( source http://itech.fgcu.edu/&/issues/vol2/issue1/german.htm) This is a good example because it shows that Hitler thinks that Germans are more powerful and smarter than anyone else. He even goes on to say that Germans are “worth more” than people. And thinks that they are essentially the master race and there is no flaw to them. A lot Germans followed these ideals because they would feel better if they thought they would claim themselves as the master race of human beings.
